Mitchell Library, Glasgow:

Exhibition explores hidden history of mental health

A new exhibition entitled, 'Testimony: Inside Stories of Mental Health Care', runs from 6–20 October 2007 at the Mitchell Library, North Street, Glasgow. Admission to the exhibition is free and includes interactive displays, original artworks and short documentaries.

Organised by Mental Health Media in partnership with the Scottish Mental Health Arts & Film Festival, 'Testimony' started in 1999 as an archive of video interviews with people who spent time in some of the UK's old asylum–based hospitals. This year, artists and filmakers have been commissioned to create new works tackling some of the issues arising from this rich collection of life–stories.

For hours of opening and further information about the Testimony: Inside Stories of Mental Health Care exhibition telephone: 020 7700 8171. Email: testimony@mhmedia.com. Visit website at: www.insidestories.org.
