South Essex offers second free course: Community Open Arts, creative exploration for adults
Open Arts, a new free Community Arts project for adults, which launched in Westcliff, South Essex in March has proved such a success another course is scheduled to start on Monday 21 April at the Adult Community Learning Centre, Rocheway, Rochford and will run between 10.15am and 12.30pm. Open Arts offers courses tailored to adults who would like support in raising self–confidence and improving their own self–esteem whilst offering the chance to meet new people, increase networking skills and widen social circles. Courses will focus on a range of visual art methods including drawing, painting, collage, textiles, clay and plaster work. Every session will be held in a relaxed informal manner facilitated by artists providing constructive guidance on how to maximise each technique to its full potential. Every participant can work at their own pace to suit and enhance their own personal experience and enjoyment. The project aims to meet the interest and demand of people who sign–up, so news of further courses in areas across South Essex will be announced in the near future.
