The British Journal of Nursing awards:
South Essex NHS nurses scoop national accolades
Staff from the South Essex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust [SEPT] are celebrating after winning three awards at a national award ceremony. The British Journal of Nursing awards, held recently at the Landmark Hotel, London, highlighted and rewarded excellence in nursing across a range of disciplines, and recognised the importance of clinical nursing and patient care throughout the United Kingdom. Elaine Taylor, Nurse Consultant for Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults claimed first prize in the Mental Health Nursing Award with her colleague Andrea Arnold from the Castlepoint community mental health team winning third prize. Kim Shaw, infection control nurse also won first prize for the Infection Prevention Award.
