Governors visit Basildon, Grays and Southend: Trust promotes mental wellbeing to Essex shoppers
South Essex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust [SEPT] Governors took to the streets of Essex to celebrate the NHS 60th Anniversary and promote mental health services. Over a two–day period a number of the Foundation Trust Governors visited Basildon, Grays and Southend armed with bags containing information about mental health conditions and the services provided by SEPT. The bags, emblazoned with the message ‘Good Mental Health – It’s In The Bag’, also contained button badges with anti stigma messages and recipes for good mental health. The Governors staffed information stands which documented the history of the NHS with a local flavour of mental health services at Runwell to the new hospital at Rochford and the plans for the low and medium secure unit currently under construction on the Runwell Hospital site.
